Fri, 20 April 2007  A SuperCandid first! This week we actually review a *spoiler*GOOD*spoiler* Christian movie! Join Jon and Don as we tackle the true life story of a group of missionaries in Ecuador and their deadly encounter with the tribe they have come to save. Starring Chad Allen (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) as Nate and Steve Saint (not a Parent Trap gimmick, he plays father and son in different time periods) and Louie Leonardo (Law & Order) as Mincayani. Departing from the questionable practice of romanticizing mid-20th century missionary work by focusing upon the native perspective, the film depicts not only the tragedy made famous in Life magazine but the intriguing aftermath. Now with 10% less rambling! EDIT: I screwed up and posted the 'cast without any music! I don't know what happened, but I think it's all fixed now. Also, it's got a supersexy r-rated easter egg attached. Although, I guess if I point it out, it's no longer an easter egg... it's definitely eggy though.
